We’re days away from fall, thank goodness. As amazing as summer is here in Southern California, I think we can all agree that autumn is a spectacular time – we’ve got the #psl, crunchy and colorful leaves, cozy sweaters and fragrant candles…it’s perfection!
Autumn is also a great time to think about your spa business marketing strategy for the upcoming season. This is the time of year when clients are coming in to undo all that fun in the sun they had (myself included!) – but it’s also a great opportunity to reach new clients and expand your presence in the community.
How do you do that? Here are some easy tips to getting your spa packed with business this fall!
Offer Special Treatments
Autumn has a vast number of iconic scents – apple, pumpkin, cinnamon – just a few great options to use when creating seasonal treatments to entice new and loyal customers alike. September and October are also really great months to promote skincare treatments that cater to those who want to give skin a little extra care after all the sun and sand they experienced during summer. Create a newsletter to share monthly specials and treatments with your email list — you always want your target market to stay in the loop!
If you don’t have an email list yet, creating a blog with a call-to-action or opt-in on your website is a great way to capture email addresses from your target market and share news + promotions all year long.
Create an Event
Are you a new spa wanting to reach out to the community? Maybe you’re an established spa looking for a new flow of clients. Either way, creating an event to showcase your establishment is a fun way to engage with potential clients. Check out the local popup events in your area and consider setting up a table to promote specials, offer product samples, and even give mini treatments on the spot.
Emphasize Your Retail Products
Autumn brings with it a change in weather, which means client skincare needs change, too. This is a great opportunity to direct attention to your retail offerings! Look for ways to package products together for a ‘fall discount’ – hydrating ingredients, such as serums and oils, are especially in demand as weather turns dry and cool.
Dust Off Your Website
This time of year is perfect for revamping that website or brushing the pre-Halloween spiderwebs off the blog. As you bring in new clients, you’ll want a website that highlights all of your offerings, retail products and treatments! Maximize your reach by creating an effective online presence – blog content packs even more of a punch when you use it to boost your social media presence, too. A dormant website is literally causing you to lose money, so email me if you need some help!
